Creator Statement

“Come As You Aren’t” is an 8 episode web series following the lives of 7 college strangers at a Halloween party in New York City. The 8 episodes follow each character throughout the course of the night and reveals more about their similarities and differences and helps them learn and grow from them. As a college student myself, I wanted to create a project that represented the messy lives of 20 something year olds and how there is no “correct” path to life. During my senior year fall semester, I worked with two other Gallatin students to develop, write, produce and film the pilot for this web series. The talented cast and crew who worked on this project really allowed us to bring the story to life. We produced the pilot to serve as a proof of concept to hopefully gain funding to complete the rest of the episodes.
